7. Using the Same Product for Years
You must not use the same skin care product for years. With age, the needs of your skin change. To keep up with the changes, you need to change your moisturizer too.
Brand loyalty is not going to benefit your skin in any way. Several changes in your body can change the effectiveness of the moisturizer you have been using for ages.
Ask your dermatologist which type of moisturizer you should use, depending upon your age and skin type. Needless to say, make sure the product you are using has not expired.
8. Using Too Much Moisturizer
To keep your skin hydrated, you do not have to use a thick layer of moisturizer or a long list of products. Both can be harmful to your skin.
If you need to slather on a large amount of moisturizer to hydrate your skin, it is a clear sign that you are probably using the wrong one. A good moisturizer will work well using just a small amount.
Also, there is no need to use an array of products– a cleanser, a toner, a moisturizing lotion with SPF and a liquid foundation with SPF and anti-aging benefits. The fewer products you use on your skin, the better your skin will be.
