7. Switch to Green Tea
Instead of drinking coffee, try green tea, which is extremely good for your health. The high polyphenols in green tea improve the flow of bile and lower its cholesterol concentration, thus preventing gallbladder problems.
Green tea has antioxidant properties that help the body get rid of free radicals. In addition, it improves liver functioning, which is essential for detoxification.
- Put 1 to 2 teaspoons of green tea leaves in a cup of hot water.
- Cover and allow it to steep for 5 to 10 minutes.
- Strain and add some honey and lemon for taste.
- Drink 2 to 3 cups of green tea daily.
You can also take green tea extracts (100 to 750 mg per day). As green tea and green tea extracts may contain caffeine, try to opt for decaffeinated products.
8. Drink a Glass of Vegetable Juice Daily
To keep your gallbladder and liver healthy, you can drink 1 to 2 glasses of fresh vegetable juice on a regular basis.
Vegetables like carrots, spinach, cabbage, cucumbers, beetroot and lettuce help cleanse the liver, support the detoxification process and strengthen the gallbladder. In addition, the several nutrients in fresh vegetables give a boost to your immune system and overall health.
Extract the juice of 1 beetroot, 1 cucumber and 4 medium-size carrots. Mix the juices and drink it 1 or 2 times a day. You can also add the juice of other vegetables, such as celery stalks and spinach, and even fruits like lemon and green apple. A juice diet also supports weight loss, improves digestion and keeps the skin healthy.
For better absorption of the nutrients, drink the juice slowly instead of gulping it down quickly.
