7. Tomatoes

Tomato is an excellent natural medicine bursting with goodness that can help you in your battle against obesity. Tomato is rich in vitamin A and C, potassium, phosphorus, magnesium, and iron that are required for normal activity of nerves and muscles.

Lycopene, the pigment responsible for the bright red color of tomatoes, is very beneficial for the body. It works as a powerful antioxidant that neutralizes damage by free radicals to cells in the body. Other biological constituents of tomatoes include coumaric acid and chlorogenic acid.

They fight cancer by blocking powerful carcinogens like nitrosamines. Tomatoes also have anti-inflammatory and antithrombotic properties. The bioavailabilty of lycopene and other nutrients increases upon cooking and processing .

Campari tomatoes which contain very high amounts of lycopenes, were shown to lower lipid levels in diet-induced obese zebrafish models in a paper published in 2011 .

Eat a couple of tomatoes every morning on an empty stomach. Make sure you eat the peels and seeds as well because they contain dietary fiber. Tomatoes contain compounds that tend to alter the levels of hormones that affect your appetite.

Furthermore, being rich in vitamins A, C, and K, and magnesium, manganese, choline, folate, and other nutrients, they are good for your health. Also, they are packed with antioxidants that protect against cancers.

8. Cabbage

Cabbage has been used as a remedy for weight loss and obesity. Being a cruciferous vegetable, it contains phytochemicals that help improve the imbalance of estrogen metabolism.

Cabbage belongs to the Brassica genus, of which kale, cauliflower, broccoli etc are also members. The members of Brassicaceae are a rich source of ascorbic acid, phenolic compounds, carotenoids and glucosinolates .

These plants protect the body from chronic diseases and are also said to decrease the risk of certain type of cancers. Studies conducted on various brassica members, suggests that they can be safe and effective anti-obesity agents.

A study published in 2012 demonstrated that rats fed an anthocyanin-rich red cabbage diet had lower levels of tissue lipids than the control group .

  1. what about aloe vera juice? I’ve noticed these jugs on the end caps at my local store….never heard of “drinking” aloe vera before! But growing up, my mother always put it on our sun burns…so what’s the deal with aloe vera? Granted, I could probably google it ๐Ÿ˜‰ But I’d like your input as well, since you’ve more than likely tried it first hand ๐Ÿ˜‰

    1. I drink a mix of
      1/3 apple
      3 palm sized aloe
      3 spoonfulls of honey
      each day, and lost about 8kgs. The good thing about this is that you can get easily hydrated, so when you lose weight, you lose it in a pretty? sort of way.lol
      sorry for not being specific, but it really does help. About how often…I just eat it all the time. I freeze it and make popsicles, mix it into my foods, and of course, drink it. I have an aloe plant in my house, so growing one is an effective idea to consider.

  4. These are all very tried and true ways to lose weight. I have been on the lemon juice every day and the ACV. I also use lots of the spices as mentioned above. I am under the regular care of a Dr and the last time that I went for my check-up, I had lost weight and all my vitals were spot on of where they were suppose to be.   5. I have tried these.. Especailly lemon with warm water and honey is very very effective… secondy Do not have 3 to 4 cups of green tea to start with… In the initial phase start with two one in the morning and then evening and then gradually increase to 3 max…. Also cabbage is very effective in loosing weight, I would not recommend raw as it would lead to some other infection, so slightly boil with other vegs and have it in your daily routine..   9. Try also a Tsp of honey mix together with a tsp of cinamon powder in a boiling cup of h2o, let stand till bit cold and drink in an empty stomach every morning for two weeks,,it works…goodluck..

  13. Hi, thanks for the article. It appears that Cinnamon, Fennel Seeds, Lemon, Honey, Mint Leaves, Ginger, Pepper, Curry Leaves, Garlic boosts burning of fat and help in weight loss.

    Will it do good if I could boil water by adding Cinnamon, Fennel Seeds, Mint Leaves, Ginger, Garlic, Curry Leaves, Pepper for 10 minutes and leave it over night. Then in the morning filter it, add Lemon and Honey and drink it like a soup.

    Kindly advice.

  20. Truly I agree with the remedy OF APPLE CIDER VINEGAR…
    I was going thru the tough time of blood pressure so doctor suggsted me to take 2tbsp of ACV a day in one glass of water so I did..
    it not balanced the blood pressure but also unexpectedly reduced my weight…

  22. can we have lemon, honey, acv, cinnamon powder, ginger all together mixed in hot water early in the morning. i am now 72 – height 5 have a 2nd kid of 6 months old.
    i am not losing weight may be because my thyroid count of 4.8 which is declared to be high. Please confirm to my above doubt and also suggest what best can be done to get rid of this heavy body.

  28. i just dont understand it is a thing of beauty to lose weight but if all of these miracle solutions work then why are they just now being recognized for there great stuff that they do for very heavy people who have got to lose weight like me i am losing weight but not as fast as i want my doc has me on script taking the newest fat lose med from ny ny it feels like winning the lotto 10 million dollars but i would rather it to feel like 50 mill because i want to lose a lot in a short amount of time so i just might try one of these miracle treatments so i can boost my losing up to a little better than a lb a day i have got to go back to work but i cant because i am to heavy by 30lbs this stuff has got to go now the gov is cracking down on fat truck drivers especially the ones that are as heavy as the trucks engine so say the dot is this fat boy truck drivers no no no way this is getting out of hand we just cant have this anymore it to much to watch over all the time so its the end of the rd for fat some drivers will take there dog with them when they go and so the dot has said no fat dogs on board the truck because one fat will breed another to fat fit and trim driver and dog the problem is not getting it off the problem the problem is keeping it off if you dont buy it then you are not tempted to eat it before time to eat so i will ju8st not eat for three months until i get down to my ideal weight
