9. Pineapple

Pineapples have enzymes that promote skin elasticity, moisturize the skin, and help eliminate dead skin cells as well. The fruit is also rich in antioxidants, fibers and vitamins that boost skin health.

  • Rub pineapple flesh on the affected skin area. Allow it to dry for 20 minutes, and then rinse with warm or cold water.
  • Apply the juice from a green pineapple onto the skin daily for five minutes before washing off. This is also a very good remedy for treating dark circles around the eyes.

10. Water

Drinking water is one of the easiest and most effective home remedies for treating wrinkles. Water keeps the body hydrated and maintains the moisture level in the skin. When the body is dehydrated, your skin will generally look older.

Be sure to drink pure, filtered water, as unfiltered water may have traces of chemicals that can damage your skin over time.

Drink at least two liters of filtered water daily. Have a glass in the morning to kick start your day and then keep a bottle of water beside you throughout the day. Avoid alcohol and carbonated drinks, though.

Additional Tips

  • Limit sun exposure, especially when the sun is strongest.
  • Reduce and manage stress as chronic stress accelerates cellular skin aging.
  • Stop smoking as it can damage collagen and cause early wrinkles.
  • Include more vitamin C rich foods such as orange, blueberries, grapefruit, pineapple, broccoli, bell peppers, spinach, and kale in your diet. Vitamin C promotes collagen formation and fights free radicals. Foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids will also help keep your skin youthful and plump.
  • Get proper sleep and prefer to sleep on your back to prevent sleep lines that eventually turn into wrinkles.
  • Control facial expressions like squinting and frowning as they tend to overwork the facial muscles.

Aging is a natural phenomenon leading to the formation of wrinkles and fine lines on the skin, but these remedies will help you decelerate the process. You can look younger for many more years to come.

  1. Thanks I will try the olive oil or virgin olive oil. Also i try drinking ginger in tea as it is high in anti oxidant and eat ginger in honey. I hope it works. Which one is better virgin olive oil or olive oil?

  2. Whenever I tell my friends to use olive oil they look at me like I’m crazy! Most would rather stick with their anti aging cream. I mean, the results look great, but I think it’s important to mix in some natural elements with using the wrinkle cream.

For me, I’ve found great success with drinking more water, taking slightly colder showers so I don’t dry out my skin, and using a great moisturizer like olive oil to seal and protect skin. But using an anti wrinkle cream is a good method to pair with this routine for maximum results.

  3. Thank you for all those lovely remedies. I will try them all.
I already use almond, coconut, olive oil on my skin they all are good.
    Kind regards
    Joyc???

  4. Hi. It says – Another option is to mix a few drops of honey with a few drops of olive oil and glycerin. Massage the mixture into your skin twice daily. This will eliminate dead cells and help tighten sagged skin. – do you massage mixture into face and then wash it out or just apply like a moisturiser day and night?

  5. I’m using coconut oil on my skin,I put it in my bath,I remove my make up with it. I even sleep with it on my face. and slowly my crows feet are disappearing, and I’m 45. I do have anti aging creams aswell. I also try to get 8 hours sleep a night too. It’s all helping.

  6. At night I clean my makeup off with coconut oil (nothing fancy either just a cheaper brand I picked up at walmart). Sometimes I use a bar of charcoal soap to on top of the cc oil. I use warm water and sometimes a really warm wash cloth to rinse my face. Once my face is dried, I add a little more coconut oil to my face. I notice a big difference in my fine lines within just a few days and even more so as I continue to use the cc oil. I also will put it on and leave the cc oil on my face while I shower and then rinse it off at the end. I have even stopped using he Oil of Olay eye creams. The Couconut Oil does much better, for me anyways, than those did.
