  1. Fill 2 foot tubs– one with cold water and the other with warm water.
  2. Soak your feet in the warm water for about 3 to 4 minutes.
  3. Immediately put your feet in the cold water for about 1 minute.
  4. Continue alternating for 15 to 20 minutes.
  5. Repeat a few times daily until you get relief.

2. Massage

A foot massage is one of the best remedies for swollen feet. It creates pressure on the affected area that helps relax sore muscles and improve circulation. It also encourages excess fluid drainage to reduce swelling.

  1. Rub some warm mustard oil or olive oil on the affected area.
  2. Gently massage the area for 5 minutes in an upward direction, rather than downward. Avoid applying too much pressure.

    1. Hi , first of all,thanks for the post,appreciate the knowledge sharing. I want to let everyone know one more easy way to get rid of edema or water in feet. Just place ur feet on two to three soft pillows while sleeping,ensure that its not too high and make ur leg and joints strain or uncomfortable,let it be in a comfortable height.by doing this the excess liquid goes out of the body through urine, you can do it at night if you are comfortable waking up to empty your bladder, do it at the time of rest and trust me its the best way to get edema or swelling down.   3. It’s only the second time ive experienced swollen feet and only recently as well. Its kind of not normal for me to get this and not sure if its something to be concerned about and to get it checked by the Dr. I’m not sure what is causing it but think it could possibly be circulation. Should I be concerned and go to the Dr or something not to be worried about
